Rep. Tony Shipley announces grand opening of district office

Comptroller Justin Wilson will attend to announce appointment of Small Business Advocate

 

NASHVILLERepresentative Tony Shipley (R-Kingsport) announced today that he will be opening a district office for constituents to utilize and receive assistance for issues within the district. Justin Wilson, the Comptroller of the Treasury, will also be on hand to announce the appointment of the Small Business Advocate, a position created through legislation carried by House Majority Leader Jason Mumpower and Lieutenant Governor Ron Ramsey. The Small Business Advocate will serve as a resource for small business people throughout Tennessee who need assistance navigating the bureaucracy of state government.

 

In addition, Comptroller Wilson will lead a discussion for interested business persons who would like to learn about the new procurement procedures as well as the status of TNInvestco program.

 

"I am excited about the grand opening of this district office, and I hope that the people of Sullivan will utilize this office to the fullest extent," said Representative Shipley. "Sullivan County is a long way from Nashville, so this will be one more avenue my constituents can use to resolve issues and get assistance from my office."

 

He continued, "I look forward to having Comptroller Justin Wilson on hand to discuss the details of legislation that will have a positive impact on our community, and I appreciate him taking the time to do so."
